Hi! My name is Chanda and I'm a 41yr old mom to seven beautiful children. A little over a year ago, our world was turned upside down, my handsome, intelligent, amazing husband of ten years put a bullet in his brain. It was and still is unreal to me! I had no idea that he was depressed and suicidal, however, I did get a taste of what he was going through in the aftermath of his death, when I myself became depressed and having random thoughts of suicide.
I had to fight, not only my life but for the quality of life for our children. That first pic was me right before he died, I was 460 pounds,I decided that enough was enough. I was going to put the donuts down and start eating clean, non processed, sugar free food. I got on Instagram and started following inspirational pages such as FBF. I also incorporated all types of exercise, from Cross Fit and Tennis to Yoga and Zumba! I'm always trying new things. All in all, it's been a slow journey but I'm getting there. I just keep reminding myself that it's impossible to lose if you never quit!👊🏾
